Do you get it?

Last night, a friend commented that after watching the recent movie Home Run* one can really appreciate the value of a pair of shoes. Useful advice for shoe-lovers out there!? 🙂

Here is an editorial from Iraq Today concerning the recent power outage in New York. Call it a sense of humour, or what-not, but “the irony, of course, has not been lost on most Baghdadis”. Group-think

Sometimes, I do wonder about how we can make use of group intelligence? I mean, how can we best take advantage of the unique experiences and expertise of each person involved in a discussion, in a team, in a way that does justice to the combined skills? Unfortunately, it seems that the more democratic we make it, the more chaotic everything seems to be!

Adventure

Surprise

Was very pleasantly surprised this afternoon when I received a reply email from a long lost friend – I was in fact worried that the email address I have is no longer valid. It felt so good to hear from someone whom you thought you had lost contact with.

Second best

Was chatting with my sister the other day. I made the remark that, for young kids, it may not be so good if they are the best among their peers all the time. My reason is that, once they get too accustomed to that feeling, it will be that much harder to handle and accept set-backs in future.
