Just read the saying:

It’s not WHAT HAPPENS TO YOU that matters most.
It’s how YOU THINK ABOUT what happens to you that counts.

This may sound like a cliche, but perhaps next time when something bad happens, reflect on the following?

Every disaster in your life is not so much a disaster, as a situation waiting for you to change your mind about it.

    Have you heard of the Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy? It’s based on the idea that your thoughts and emotions dictate how you react to what happens to you and hence no 2 persons are the same. This is a recognised psychological tool, much researched, and is used in depression management, management of addictions and general behavioural management. What you quoted is not just a cliche.
