While queuing for my lunch at the canteen today, saw this girl in front of me who carried a bag with an interesting picture. The picture was that of a hand, with eyes at the tip of each finger.

Why did I think it was interesting?

We often hear the phrase that “eye is the window to the soul”, but how often do we forget the power of the touch? For example, the hug of a loving mother to her child, the comforting arm of a friend when you feel down, the helping hand when you fall and land flat on your face… We have such amazing power right at our finger tips, to communicate without words, and see inside of people.

Perhaps, as a result of cultural conditioning, we often forget and even loathe the sense of touch!? No need to be afraid. Time to extend that welcoming hand, once again!
