Favourite sci-fi series

There have been two long-running sci-fi series which I have enjoyed immensely in the past. Firstly, The Foundation Series by Issac Asimov.

This series spanned almost 40 years! The first book was based on a previous short story on robots – a revolutionary concept at that time. The final book detailing the origins one of the most central figure (through his influence rather than having him in each novel in the series), Hari Seldon, came out shortly before Asimov’s death in 1993.

MT again

For the past couple of weeks or so, have been trying out pMachine. At one stage, I almost ended up converting everything to pMachine. Verdict? Well, guess I was pretty lucky in that I managed to pick a good blog on the second go (first one being Nucleus), so I will stick with :mt: after all.

Celebrity!

It seems someone out there does have a sense of humour!? Guess by this stage, somehow or other, we have all seen the (in)famous Iraqi Information Minister dishing out his daily denials of American attacks in Iraq? Well, having attained an unfortunate celebrity status, here is a site dedicated to him. Well, let’s hope that he will resurface someday to accept this honour!

First blood

Today I donated blood at the blood donation drive at work. Being a first-timer, I was a little apprehensive at first. Well, it did not really help that much if the guy next to me felt giddy halfway through and had to stop and rest! Needless to say, I came back in one piece. Took less time than I thought. Guess I am just very healthy with a fast flow!?
