Remember the movie The Dead Poets’ Society? I certainly do, because I saw the movie in the middle of my High School final-year exams, and the story certainly struck a chord with us 18-19 year olds. Well, something along similar lines today. Don’t let your song remain unsung.

Sometimes, I do wonder about how we can make use of group intelligence? I mean, how can we best take advantage of the unique experiences and expertise of each person involved in a discussion, in a team, in a way that does justice to the combined skills? Unfortunately, it seems that the more democratic we make it, the more chaotic everything seems to be!
When decisions need to be made, but doubts and uncertainties are creeping up again, perhaps you can try to recall the following:
“How will you ever know if you can paint that picture, run that business, sell that vacuum cleaner, earn that degree, hold that office, make that speech, win that game, marry that girl, write that book, bake that souffle, build that house – unless you try it!”
